Gwent Climate and Nature survey

Closed 9 Feb 2024

Opened 11 Jan 2024

Overview

The Gwent Public Services Board (PSB) would like to talk to partners and communities across Gwent who are working to tackle the climate and nature emergencies. The Gwent PSB Wellbeing Plan sets out what we will do in the next 5 years to improve people’s well-being in Gwent: Blaenau Gwent, Caerphilly, Monmouthshire, Newport and Torfaen. This survey is part of the work of the PSB towards delivering the Wellbeing Plan.

We want to recognise, celebrate and build on the successful projects across Gwent. This survey aims to help us find out which community groups, organisations, businesses, and public bodies in Gwent are funding, planning or delivering projects to:

  • help reduce carbon emissions
  • help us to adapt to the effects of climate change
  • improve the way we travel
  • improve the way we grow food and what we eat
  • help people benefit from being in nature
  • look after the natural environment.

The PSB hopes to work with projects across Gwent to improve wellbeing for everyone. This could be through linking up projects across the region, replicating successful projects in other parts of Gwent, sharing great ideas and by building on learning from past projects and the good practice demonstrated by current ones. The information you share with us here will help to build a PSB delivery plan for working across Gwent to improve wellbeing.

The results of this survey will also help the PSB identify key examples of good practice in Gwent which could be showcased at events like World Environment Day and Wales Climate Week.

Why your views matter

Natural Resources Wales, as a PSB member organisation, is hosting this survey on behalf of the PSB, and the results of the survey will be shared with our PSB partners.

  • There are 20 questions, but you won’t need to answer them all, 10 are voluntary, please just share what information you can.
  • You don’t need to complete the survey in one go, you can save your answers and return later to complete the survey.
  • It should take 15-20 mins to complete this survey.
  • If you would like to tell us about more than one project, please complete a separate survey for each one.
