To celebrate the 10 year anniversary of the Wales Coast Path, Natural Resources Wales is offering a number of travel bursaries to enable education settings in Wales to visit a section of the Coast Path.
The 870 mile long-distance walking trail runs from the Welsh border near Chester, to Chepstow in South East Wales. The Path offers unique and stimulating learning and experience opportunities for all ages and abilities to support delivery of both formal and informal curricula.
Imagine how a trip to the Coast Path could bring learning alive!
Could your learners help to promote the Path by designing a promotional leaflet or writing a newsletter? How long would it take your learners to walk the entire Wales Coast Path? From smuggling to food chains, coastal art to learning about the habitats and landforms along the Welsh coast, visit the Path to discover the cross-curricular learning opportunities and the sense of 'Cynefin' the Wales Coast Path offers in waves.
All of our resources to support your visit can be found here: Wales Coast Path
Applications can be made for up to £200 towards the cost of transporting your learners to and from the Wales Coast Path.
To receive the bursary you will need to:
Note: The application window closes 17th of June 2022 and visits must be undertaken before 31st of December 2022.
