Arrow Bio Waste Recycling Facility - Initial Application Consultation
Overview
Deeside SPV Limited have submitted an application to Natural Resources Wales (NRW) for an environmental permit under the Environmental Permitting Regulations (England and Wales) 2016.
The application has been assigned the reference number PAN-028894.
The proposed facility is located at Arrow Bio Waste Recycling Facility, Deeside Industrial Park, Weighbridge Road, Deeside, CH5 2LL.
The proposed activity is for a new anaerobic digestion (AD) plant with an annual throughput of 149,000 tonnes per year of source segregated food waste.
In the Environmental Permitting Regulations the applicants proposal fall under a Section 5.4 activity as defined below and is therefore considered an installation.
‘Section 5.4, Part A (1)(a) (i) Disposal of non-hazardous waste with a capacity exceeding 50 tonnes per day (or 100 tonnes per day if the only waste treatment activity is anaerobic digestion) involving one or more of the following activities:
(i) biological treatment’
