Notice is hereby given that Natural Resources Wales (“NRW”) has carried out an environmental impact assessment (‘EIA’) under the Marine Works (Environmental Impact Assessment) Regulations 2007 as amended (‘the EIA Regulations’) in respect of the variation to Kinmel Bay coastal defence improvements scheme. In accordance with regulation 22 of the EIA Regulations, NRW has decided to grant EIA consent for the project.
Written confirmation of the EIA consent decision is available for public inspection on NRW’s public register. The written confirmation includes the main reasons and considerations on which the EIA consent decision was based, a summary of the consultations undertaken and information gathered, conclusion about effects of the project on the environment.

Copies of the written confirmation of the EIA consent decision may also be obtained online from https://publicregister.naturalresources.wales/ using reference CML2272v2 or requested by email to marinelicensing@naturalresourceswales.gov.uk. If printed copies are requested, a charge not exceeding reasonable copying costs may be made.
Natural Resources Wales is an appropriate authority under the EIA Regulations and has been delegated functions as the appropriate licensing authority by the Welsh Ministers for the purposes of Part 4 of the Marine and Coastal Access Act 2009.
