We are preparing to publish our latest Flood Risk Management Plan for Wales and would like to seek the views and feedback to help shape and finalise this plan ahead of publication later this year.
In producing this plan NRW is fulfilling the requirements of Part 4 of the Flood Risk Regulations (2009), this plan is the final stage of the second cycle of analysis and planning work mandated by this legislation.
The Flood Risk Management Plan builds on our analysis of what is at risk of flooding and sets out the priorities and measures that we propose to manage the risk of flooding to people, the environment and economic activity across Wales over the next six years.
The Plan is separated into an overarching National Section alongside six place based Local Sections which cover the different operational areas within NRW. It is therefore intended to be used as a national plan but also offer local detail to help support local plans.

At NRW, we believe that it's important to share our proposed plans for the future and seek feedback from communities at risk of flooding as well as the stakeholders we work with. We need to make sure our priorities and plans are understood and your survey responses will help inform how we finalise our plan. We will use the response to this short survey to assess if our draft plan needs further revision.
The consultation on our proposed plans has now closed.
Thank you for the feedback provided through this consultation, this will help us finalise and shape our Flood Risk Management Plan for Wales ahead of publication later this year.
