Why your views matter

We have reviewed our guidance on scoping and preparing an Environmental Impact Assessment for marine developments (referred to as GN013) published in 2017.

As a result of the review, we are proposing the following changes:

  • Presenting the guidance as web content in a series of related webpages including:

    • Environmental Impact Assessment for marine developments
    • What is scoping for Environmental Impact Assessment for marine developments
    • What to include in you marine development scoping report
    • Legislation, policy and information for marine Environmental Impact Assessment
  • Aiming to be clear on what information NRW as a statutory advisor expect for EIA marine developments
  • Updating the information and content
  • Providing links to our relevant guidance and information

What happens next

We will carefully consider all responses and make any necessary amendments to the scoping an EIA for marine development guidance.

We anticipate publishing the final guidance in September 2020.

We will periodically review and update the guidance in future years.
